Tonight the D11 conference begins tonight with Tim Cook taking center stage. This is the first D conference I’m not attending in years. I’ve enjoyed the mix of speakers typical at the conference. It isn’t days of straight technology, although that is clearly the focus. There are also many investors, media and Hollywood types. I’ll miss the event because as an attendee you get to both hear and meet many interesting people. For example, I’m not sure where else I would have had the opportunity to discuss SIGNature (at the time, the Bluetooth SIG magazine) with Martha Stewart and take away some of the learnings she had made with her Living publication.
In the past few days, there have been many interesting articles about D. Here are a few:
- Chris Fralic: What Makes D So Great?
- Ilya Pozin: The Tough Questions Tech CEOs Need to be Asked
- Dave Kerpen: 6 Secrets to Better Networking at D11, or Any Conference
- Bill Gross: My Favorite Moments From the Past 10 Years of D
For those of you at the conference, enjoy the show!
